Years of tradition in every bite.
Tina emigrated to Columbus from Cerreto di Vastogirardi in central Italy with her parents, Dominico and Italia Ciotola, her sister Carla, and her brother Frank . At first Tina didn't want to leave her grandparents with whom she was very close. “I ran away from home on the morning we were going to leave Italy to come to America,” said Tina. “I was just hiding in the house because I wanted to make us miss our plane.”
Tina and Kim met in high school and began dating ; they married in 1976. In 1978, Kim came on board at DaVinci ristorante together with the rest of the family. DaVinci ristorante was founded in 1974 by Tina's parents together with her uncle Angelo and aunt Sylvia. It was during those 28 or so years that Kim, working along side Domenico, not only learned all the fabulous recipes but also developed a love for creating new ones plus an interest in all the other aspects of the restaurant business.
